Description
Saint Joseph University of Beirut, represented by its President, Professor Salim Daccache, S.J., signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Sidon and the South, represented by its President, Mr. Mohammad Saleh. The agreement aims to enhance opportunities for university students and to develop innovative entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute to the development of South Lebanon and the empowerment of its youth.
The signing ceremony took place at the university’s main headquarters, in the presence of President Daccache, President Saleh, and several members of the administrative boards from both sides.
It is worth noting that the Memorandum of Understanding seeks to support higher education and promote a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth in South Lebanon by providing training and job opportunities for university students and by contributing to identifying the labor market needs of businesses in the South.
Both parties also agreed to launch an “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Academy,” to grant a joint certificate between the university and the chamber, to implement an annual innovation program, and to introduce an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award, along with other joint initiatives.
