About FSL

Established in 2007 with the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Food Safety Laboratories (FSL) serves as a vital resource for the food and agriculture industries in the southern region of Lebanon.

In 2012, through collaborative efforts with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture of Saida and the ACDI VOCA-QCC program, FSL underwent expansion and modernization, equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities and technology.

Since then, FSL has been at the forefront, offering comprehensive microbiological, physico-chemical, quality control, and sensory testing services for food and water, meticulously adhering to internationally recognized standards such as LIBNOR, FDA, EU, SASO, and Codex. Our laboratory proudly maintains accreditation in accordance with the rigorous ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

Our microbiological laboratory offers comprehensive testing services covering all facets of the agro-food industries, from raw material screening to finished product analysis. Our analytical tests for food and water include:
