Overview:
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Sidon and South Lebanon (CCIAS) is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a CNC Machine Operator and Trainer. This part-time role involves hands-on operation and training on a range of advanced CNC machinery, contributing to both the productivity of our facility and the development of technical skills among trainees.
As part of this role, you will work with cutting-edge CNC equipment, including:
FMA Advertising Dedicated Fiber Laser Cutting Machine
WC67K Series Torsion Bar Hydraulic Press Brake
QC12K Series Hydraulic Shearing Machine (6x3200mm)
Your expertise will help ensure the smooth operation of these machines while also providing comprehensive training to staff, apprentices, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Machines: Perform day-to-day operations on FMA fiber laser cutting machine, WC67K press brake, and QC12K hydraulic shearing machine. Ensure optimal machine performance and adherence to safety standards.
Training and Development: Provide in-depth, practical training sessions on CNC machinery for employees and trainees. Demonstrate safe practices, machine setup, operation, and maintenance techniques.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC machines. Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for improving machine productivity, safety, and workflow processes.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, machine performance, and operational activities. Report any issues or incidents to management promptly.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Institute Degree, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating and training on CNC machines, particularly fiber laser cutting, hydraulic press brakes, and hydraulic shearing machines.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in CNC programming, machine operation, and maintenance. Knowledge of laser cutting, bending, and shearing processes.
Training Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and mentor others.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose effective solutions.
Location: Must be available to work on-site as part-time at CCIAS in Sidon, Lebanon.
