The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon (CCIAS), in collaboration with the Palestinian Students Fund (PSF), has launched a joint initiative to deliver professional CNC (Computer Numerical Control) training for Lebanese and Palestinian youth. This partnership, established through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance participants' technical skills, improve their employability, and provide access to high-quality vocational education in advanced manufacturing technologies. The initiative reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to empowering young people with practical, industry-relevant skills while promoting equal educational opportunities.

Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Bisat visited the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon, where he met with Chamber President Mohammad Hassan Saleh and members to discuss the challenges facing the commercial, industrial, agricultural, and economic sectors. During the meeting, Saleh emphasized the importance of developing the Port of Sidon into a fully operational commercial port to boost economic growth and create jobs. Minister Bisat highlighted Sidon's strategic role as the gateway to South Lebanon and reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the city's development through a comprehensive long-term vision, with the port serving as a key driver of economic growth.

Paid Vocational Training Program for Youth (Ages 18–30) Gain valuable hands-on work experience through a 4-month paid internship with organizations in South Lebanon and Mount Lebanon (Chouf). Participants will receive a monthly stipend of USD 400, skills development training, a certificate of participation, and career support. The program is open to job seekers and recent graduates from South Lebanon. Application deadline: July 24, 2026.
